UBC Science Co-op offers workshops for students to enhance their skills in resume and cover letter writing, and other skills. (We also offer an Employers Panel periodically to give students an idea of the types of employers and work term placements that are available.)
The Co-op Administration & Workshop Fee is $272.00 for newly admitted students, (payable upon acceptance into the Co-op Program). Students who do not pay by the deadline will not have access to job postings on Scope. Online payment is accepted via credit or debit cards.
The co-op administration and workshop fee will be waived for Indigenous students in the program.

International students in UBC Science Co-op must have a valid work permit to legally work in Canada. The Co-op Work Permit Self-paced Application Review through Canvas walks you through a pre-recorded, step-by-step instructions to complete the application at your own pace.
You may use this guide if you are accepted to a UBC Co-op program and are:
- Physically inside Canada with a valid study permit, or
- Currently outside Canada and waiting for a decision on the initial study permit application
