Google Games is an annual event held at UBC in which teams of students compete against one another in challenges that test both brains and creativity through events such as trivia, building challenges, puzzles, word association, and coding competitions. This year’s theme was “Out of This World” and students were encouraged to throw on their best space suit or alien gear and participate in an otherworldly time!

Twenty teams, of mostly Computer Science students, competed this year. Team SemperFizz, a team of five 4th-year Engineering Physics students, were this year's winners!

“We are really proud of this achievement,” says Bardia Beigi, one of the winning students. “The competition consisted of trivia, puzzles, coding problems, building challenge, etc. It focused primarily on problem-solving and creative thinking under time constraints and pressure. It was a truly amazing experience, and our team has decided to defend our title next year.”
